Responsibilities

• Responsible for the preparation of units prior to the painting process.
• Tape and mask off non-painted surfaces or parts around areas to be painted
• Sand/scuff surfaces to be painted using a dual-action sander and hand finishing.
• Seal body seams with seam sealer and smooth properly for final appearance required.
• Identify and repair damage found during the incoming inspection process. This will include sanding, grinding, and repairs with body filler as needed.
• Identify and remove any surface imperfections from previous build processes.
• Prepare surface for the painting process by removing surface contamination using a wax a grease remover.
• Maintain tools and equipment to operational standards.
• Must keep the work area safe and clean to 5S standards.

Qualifications

• Quality minded.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• Able to follow work instructions and multi-task.
• Some experience preferred.
